Koyelaanchal reveals itself through Saryu Bhan Singh (Vinod Khanna), an ex-manager turned Mafioso of the locale, who through his sheer severity & outright disobedience of tradition that must be adhered to, constrains the individuals & the powers to recognize him as their 'maalik'. Any dissent, any voice of difference against him is managed spine chilling savagery of amazing magnitude.
Things get a bit troublesome to handle for Saryu Bhan Singh when an upright District Collector Nisheeth Kumar (Suniel Shetty) assumes responsibility of the district and begins making inquiries that nobody challenged ask him in the recent past. Got in the company of work rebellions & naxal uprisings, the exact opposite thing Saryu Bhan Singh needed was to make foes with the top government officer of his district. He sends his most deadly human weapon, Karua (Vipinno) to drive Nisheeth Kumar away to hush.
In any case the mission don't-slaughter-simply-startle-him goes terribly wrong when Karua winds up lethally harming Nisheeth's wife. What happens from this point forward tells an exciting & awful story of how the true force doesn't generally move through the barrels of weapons yet through the delicate touches of a kid, affection of a mother & ardent supplications to God of the hapless millions.
